Perry is the Owner and CEO of both Apex Interventional Psychiatry LLC and Connecticut TMS LLC. Perry has a distinguished background as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a masters degree in psychiatric nursing from Wilkes University and board certification through ANCC in psychiatry. He has expertise in medication management for a range of mental health issues, including depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and substance disorders such as alcoholism and opioid use disorder.

Barbara “Basia” Murzynski, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Barbara “Basia” Murzynski, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders across the lifespan. She provides comprehensive, evidence-based care with a focus on medication management and individualized treatment planning. Basia has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with particular interest in mood disorders, anxiety, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Her clinical approach emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care that integrates the biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental health. She is committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, self- awareness, and lasting emotional wellness. Brian Sager
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Brian Sager is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed in Connecticut, specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of mental health conditions across the lifespan. His clinical focus includes mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and complex psychiatric presentations requiring thoughtful, individualized care.
Brian received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. He brings over seven years of nursing experience across diverse psychiatric settings, with most of his clinical background in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. This experience informs a practical, evidence-based approach to care that emphasizes both psychiatric stabilization and long-term recovery.
He integrates psychopharmacology with supportive and solution-focused therapeutic techniques, prioritizing clear communication, collaborative decision-making, and measurable outcomes. Patients are engaged as active participants in their treatment, with care plans tailored to their goals, risks, and clinical needs.
With experience in both in-person and telehealth settings, Brian is committed to improving access to high-quality psychiatric care while maintaining continuity and clinical rigor. He is particularly attentive to medication management strategies that balance efficacy, safety, and long-term sustainability.
Brian works closely with patients, families, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. His approach is grounded in professionalism, respect, and a commitment to helping patients achieve meaningful functional improvement and sustained stability.

Chinedu Ibemadu, PMHNP-BC
Chinedu Ibemadu, PMHNP-BC is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Apex Interventional Psychiatric Practice, committed to providing compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based behavioral health care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations. He is passionate about supporting individuals and families through comprehensive psychiatric care that promotes emotional wellness, recovery, and long-term mental health stability.
Mr. Ibemadu aspires to deliver effective and patient-centered behavioral health services across all age groups and diverse populations. His extensive clinical experience has been developed through work with several respected behavioral health organizations throughout Connecticut, including The Institute of Living, the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (including Connecticut Valley Hospital and River Valley Services), Albert J. Solnit Psychiatric Center, The Village for Families & Children, and Klingberg Family Centers. Through these experiences, he has gained expertise in treating a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions in both inpatient and community-based settings.
His educational background includes an Advanced Nursing Practitioner degree specializing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota.
With a strong commitment to mental health advocacy and quality patient care, Chinedu Ibemadu works collaboratively with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that address emotional, psychological, and overall well-being.

Wilda Merant
Wilda Merant is a Certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care. She earned her degree from Meharry Medical College and is committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions.
At Apex Interventional Psychiatry, Wilda primarily practices in the Waterbury office, where she provides comprehensive psychiatric medication management services and supports patients undergoing advanced interventional treatments, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato therapy. She works closely with patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring safe monitoring, ongoing support, and individualized care.
Her clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, stress-related challenges, mood disorders, and attention and concentration difficulties. Wilda takes a collaborative, evidence-based approach that combines medication management, supportive counseling, and personalized treatment planning to help patients improve their mental health and overall quality of life.
She values building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering thoughtful, individualized care tailored to each patient’s unique goals and needs.

Vincenzo Torizzo, LPC

Vincenzo is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor who believes every person has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Charter Oak State College in 2020 and completed his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University in 2023.
Known for his ability to connect authentically with clients, Vincenzo works collaboratively to create a supportive and empowering therapeutic environment. One of his greatest strengths is meeting clients where they are emotionally and tailoring his approach to fit each individual’s personality, goals, and needs.
He has experience supporting individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including:
